About us

The historic John F. Kennedy High School is the heartbeat of South Richmond, where students explore some of the most exciting careers of the 21st century. Students are exposed to a college-preparatory curriculum, complete with A-G, Concurrent Enrollment and Advanced Placement courses. Students enter through the Ninth Grade Academy before electing to enroll one of our career pathways, Information Technology Academy, Health Careers Academy or a personalized program of student tailored to the interest of our students including Building and Construction trades, Welding, Art, or Band. Kennedy is a full Service Community School, complete with a Health Center to address the social and emotional and physical and mental health of all students.
