Kennedy High School Modernization

After an integrated process and tremendous input from the community and the school site District Facilities, the Design Team and the Kennedy High School Steering Committee presented the WCCUSD Board with a recommended project scope and budget on November 8th, 2023. The Board presentation can be found on the district facilities project website. The Board approved the Design Option of the new cafetorium, highlighting student mental health and well being.

With the Board's approval, District Facilities has been working with the Architect to define the next steps in the process. This will include final design, construction drawings, estimating, Department of State Architect (DSA) approval, other agency approvals, and construction. The first step of design is called Programming & Schematic Design. This step will result in site and floor plans, exterior and interior designs. We are anticipating a July 2024 completion date for this step.
